{"id":8342,"date":"2026-07-29T19:37:41","date_gmt":"2026-07-29T19:37:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stage.xactlydesign.com\/asco\/?post_type=project&#038;p=8342"},"modified":"2026-09-16T13:40:21","modified_gmt":"2026-09-16T13:40:21","slug":"leslie-street-sewage-pumping-station","status":"publish","type":"project","link":"https:\/\/stage.xactlydesign.com\/asco\/project\/leslie-street-sewage-pumping-station\/","title":{"rendered":"Leslie Street Sewage Pumping Station"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ASCO completed this $22.8M upgrade to the Leslie Street Sewage Pumping Station in Markham, increasing its capacity from 3,800 L\/s to 7,500 L\/s as part of a critical expansion of the York-Durham sewage network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project included major mechanical, electrical, process, and energy system upgrades, along with full building improvements targeting LEED certification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Key components included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Installation of new dry pit centrifugal pumps with 5 kV motors and adjustable speed drives,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Refurbishment of existing pumps with new soft starters,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Replacement of medium voltage switchgear and SCADA systems,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Installation of three 2000 kW standby generators with a large underground fuel system.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Maintaining continuous plant operation was critical.
